This revision unit brings together three important Term 2 topics:
- Algebraic Expressions
- Algebraic Equations
- Functions and Relationships
You will review key concepts, practise mixed problems, and prepare for your assessment.
What you should be able to do after this revision:
| Topic | Skills |
|---|---|
| Algebraic Expressions | Classify terms • Add, subtract, multiply, divide expressions • Expand brackets • Factorise (common factor, difference of squares, trinomials) • Simplify algebraic fractions • Substitute values |
| Algebraic Equations | Set up equations from word problems • Solve using inspection, inverse operations, or factorisation • Use the zero product property |
| Functions and Relationships | Find input and output values • Use flow diagrams, tables, and formulae • Convert between representations |
